This new blended learning model for Advanced Communication Skills Training (ACST), in partnership with FrontLine communication, combines e-learning, one-to-one sessions, and a two-day interactive online workshop. The course offers interactive demonstrations and practice opportunities, a safe environment for giving and receiving feedback, and a participant-led agenda guided by experienced facilitators and actors.

COURSE STRUCTURE

  1. E-Learning (Up to 3 hours)
    Flexible, bite-sized e-learning sessions totalling three hours of content. This launches four weeks before the workshop and is designed to fit into busy schedules! Sessions can be completed on either a laptop or a phone, with most sessions taking under 10 minutes—ideal for learning during breaks, travel, or at home, allowing you to spread the learning across the four weeks prior to the main workshop. You will receive a unique access code to the e-learning platform.
  2. 1—2—1 Session (20 minutes)
    A dedicated 20-minute meeting with a course facilitator to discuss your specific learning objectives and a role-play scenario.
  3. Two-Day Zoom Workshop (12th-13th February)
    A highly engaging, interactive online workshop delivered over two days, with each day running for five hours. The workshop includes active participation, group discussions, and role-plays, all guided by experienced facilitators and actors. Please note: a laptop or desktop computer with broadband is recommended, and cameras should remain on throughout the sessions.

WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS

To participate fully in this online workshop, please ensure the following:

  • IMPORTANT: Your place on the two-day workshop is not confirmed until you have registered on the e-learning platform and booked your 1-2-1 session. 
  • Study Leave: for the two-day workshop.
  • Broadband: A stable internet connection is essential.
  • Device: A laptop or desktop computer is recommended; phones are not ideal for this format.
  • Camera and Microphone: Cameras should remain on.
  • Private/Confidential Space: Headphones are recommended for privacy if in a shared space, and a private space is strongly recommended.
